No Recovery, No Fee Guarantee

No Recovery, No Fee Guarantee

How Does a Contingency Fee Work?

What is a “No Recovery, No Fee Guarantee” ? Under a contingency fee agreement, our fee is contingent or dependent on the successful outcome of the case. Essentially, this means that we offer a guarantee that you will not have to pay any costs or fees until we recover on your case. Some attorneys require up-front fees when it comes to representing victims. But we know that not everybody can afford to pay upfront, and we strongly believe that this should not stop a victim from fighting for full and fair compensation they deserve for an injury

In a typical contingency fee arrangement, the lawyer agrees to represent the client and handle the legal proceedings without requiring any upfront payment. Instead, the lawyer's fee is calculated as a percentage of the compensation or settlement amount the client receives if the case is successful. This percentage is agreed upon between the lawyer and the client before the legal representation begins.

If the case is not successful for what ever reason, meaning the client does not receive any compensation, the lawyer does not receive a fee. With some injury firms, the client may still be responsible for other expenses incurred during the legal process, such as court fees or expert witness fees. However, at Phillips Personal Injury we don’t charge fees or costs unless we are successful.

Benefits of Contingency Fees

Contingency fees serve as a means to provide access to legal representation for individuals who may not be able to afford the upfront costs of normally in hiring a lawyer. It also aligns the interests of the lawyer and the client, as both have a vested interest in obtaining a favorable outcome since the lawyer's fee is tied to the success of the case.
